Hey Friend—I’m Jalexis! Yes, Alexis with a J.

While I wear a lot of hats, I’m a twenty something taking risks and dreaming big, and building a meaningful brand in the process. Originally born in Atlanta, GA, I graduated with a BFA at NYU Tisch School of the Arts with a double minor. During my collegiate career, I learned the business of entertainment at renowned organizations like The American Theatre Wing, CAA, and ABC to name a few. Prior to my undergraduate degree, I worked closely with regional theaters like the Alliance Theatre and Kenny Leon’s True Colors Theatre Company.

Writing is my primary background, but I also studied at Playwrights Horizons Downtown and Stonestreet Studios. With a sports background (GO CELTICS!), I’ve always had an itch for creating. From writing raps, to performing at talent showcases, I finally got bit by the performing bug after my theatrical debut as a Poppy in The Wiz. Who knew a small role would make such a huge impact?

Now, my resume is stamped with credits in independent film, television, commercial work, and stage. As a serial passport stamper to working in live production or even producing my own art, I’m continuously seeking opportunities to create and cool cats to create with (like you)! Whether I’m in front of the camera, or behind—one main truth remains consistent:
